HORROR ADDICTION: IS THERE A CURE?

"Every day, all across the globe an insidious affliction infects new victims. Is it an exotic new virus spewed up from deepest, darkest Africa or from the dark heart of a rainforest where loggers went too far? No, it’s worse. No one has spoken out for the victims but it’s time we discuss the dangers of being… a horror addict!
Oh sure, it starts innocent enough perhaps one night in the mid-70s you sat on your mother’s lap, hiding your head from the scary Wicked Witch of the West. You may have, I swear this is not a personal account! Maybe a couple of years later you hid under a blanket fort playing card games while your oldest sister watched blood drip down the walls in The Amityville Horror. Maybe, you were ridiculed non-stop until you forced yourself to watch that 1979 classic. Again, this is just an example not an actual incident from my childhood.
But, that’s when something unexpected happened… You actually liked it! Sure, you were so scared that you nearly soiled yourself (But didn’t) but, then it was over and you wanted more. A short time later, your mom let you stay up late to watch Phantasm and those silver flying balls of death were the coolest thing you had ever seen!
